Possibly moving back to California.Are there experienced RN jobs for less than 1 yr?

Published

I'm currently a registered nurse in north dakota. I graduated from an ADN program in Orange County, CA back in May of last year, got my license in June and looked for a New Grad job without success for 2 mos before deciding to relocate. I got a new grad job in North Dakota and have been here for over 6 mos now but am hoping to apply and move back to California for many reasons. I'm curious if it is possible to get an experienced RN position with less than a year experience?? Any advice would be appreciated!

@Meriwhen

What is making you want to move back to CA so soon? Do you feel that it is hard to adjust living there coming from CA? Which city are you currently working at?

Actually, I've been in CA for two years now--I'm from the East Coast. It took a while to get used to living in CA, especially the weather...but I like it :) I think when (if) we leave CA it may be an adjustment again...

I was replying to the OP who wants to move back to CA with less than a year's experience. I'm sorry if I response mislead you.

Sorry Meriwhen for the confusion. I'm glad you're enjoying CA. I hope that adjusting to North Dakota won't be that hard....

Not going to ND either :) Though I'd adjust fast--I like snow.

Just planning to stay put at least for the next year, hopefully longer.
