Hi i'm new to the boards and the world of nursing, and i was wondering if i could specialize in something to do with the operating room and surgery. like actually being in the operating room

thanks for responding :)

That's positive to hear! ;)

You'll need a BSN or BScN before applying to a school that offers the CRNA program. It usually takes 2 additional years.

i am starting my BScN in the fall, its quite a long story but it's semi-interesting i suppose.

i am in school up here in Canada, i go to the University of Ottawa. at the beginning of this school year i was in the Bachelor of Science Biopharmeceutical science program...i realized (good thing it took only two months) that this program wasnt for me. i talked to some of friends in different programs, and nursing looked great to me i dont know why i didnt consider it before i even started school. but then i went to switch programs, and you can only start the pgram in the fall so i was too late, so now i am stuck in bachelor of health science ( because i can get some credits that apply to nursing so that i am not too far behind) but atleast i will be starting nursing in the fall and not be so far behind. :roll
