Hi,
Does anyone have any solid suggestions for review books for the PMHNP certification? I used leik for my adult NP however I have realized there aren't a lot of resources for PMHNP. Also if anyone has a study guide they would be willing to share that would be ideal as well! Thank you!

As far as review books go, I used Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Review and Resource Manual, 4th Edition.
The other resources I used were:
- Boardvitals
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification PracticeIQ from ANA
- PMHNP-BC pocket prep mobile app

Board vitals did help when it came to learning the material in-depth (the explanations for the answers are amazing), but the questions aren't worded the same as the actual exam. The board vitals questions were much harder in my opinion, so it over-prepared me in a way. I mostly used it to understand the content better and target areas that I struggled in. The questions from Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification PracticeIQ were worded more like the actual exam.

Just memorize the high yield information provided by the movies One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Shutter Island and 12 monkeys (in that order exactly) and you should be good to go.

I primarily used the PMHNP Pocket Prep App, and the ANCC PMHNP prep book (purple book). I also went back over notes and some of my text books from school for areas I felt I needed to brush up on as both the app and ANCC book are not particularly in-depth.
