PMHNP preceptorship

Hello,

I am a graduate student in NH and actively seeking a preceptorship for Psychiatric Mental Health NP  beginning January 2022. We are able to complete half our hours in telemedicine with either a PMHNP or psychiatrist. I am willing to travel to Maine, Vermont, NH and Mass. 

I have been cold calling many places and most are not taking students or are filled. If anyone knows where I can find a preceptor or is willing to precept me, Please reach out! My current position only employs FNPs so I am unable to utilize them for hours. My previous facility agreed however not until September 2022 due to the amount of students there. 

I have 10 years working in dual diagnosis. I currently work in hospice and palliative care. I am dedicated, dependable, flexible and eager to learn!!

Which school in NH does not set up clinicals?

Most of the schools in this area as well as a lot of PMHNP programs in Mass require you to network and find your own preceptor. Unfortunately this is just the reality, not enough providers and no incentive to take on students. Regardless, your comment isn't super helpful so I would appreciate advice or guidance rather than a snarky comment about the legitimacy of my program. Thanks!
