PMHNP at Midwestern State University

Anyone attend Midwestern State University and have feedback? I am looking into this program for the PMHNP. Thanks!

Same here. I applied for it!

Hi,

After a LOOOOONG road, I am finally getting my BSN from MWSU this May and in the process of applying for their Fall 2018 MSN program. I am a little confused about the GRE Score It Now requirement? I hate that they require it considering it is not required at hardly any of the other Texas programs.

I had to call the secretary and get clarification about the ScoreItNow! thing. According to ETS that isn't offered in a proctored setting, although the secretary told me you can take it proctored at MWSU's campus. Anyway, I just ended up taking it online (was pretty cheap and only took me half an hour), and then I screenshotted the essay answers immediately after I got my scores. After that, I figured out how to turn the screenshots into a big PDF file. Then I called up the Graduate Admissions office, asked them which email I should send the scores to, and emailed that PDF in as an attachment.

In all fairness, I'm pretty good at standardized tests, and the fact that they didn't even require you to take the full GRE, was an even bigger draw for me.

How is the nursing program at MWSU, by the way? I live in Austin so I haven't met anyone who's ever gone there as far as I know. Wichita Falls seems very far away, but a couple of days up there every semester shouldn't be bad at all. :-)
