Plum pump or syringe pump?

Hi all. Just finished nursing 101 and started peds last week! I'm very overwhelmed to say the least. Anyway, I just saw a syringe pump for the first time. How do you decide between using a plum pump vs. a syringe pump? :confused:

dosage and way that the med is available. Our hospital all the plump pumps are capable to do micro drips so that makes it a lot easier when the dosages have to be small. But the med is not always in a bag for us so thats when I use syringe pumps. That being said, I have used one once and that was in NICU
