Plotting classes

Do you guys just try to figure ahead like a semester when trying to plot things out? I'm just looking to try and get an idea of what classes to take when. But it's kind of hard without knowing when the extra non nursing classes are actually offered.

I'm having to take summer off, which I didn't want to do. I had planned on going for Part A atleast, but the only classes being offered are one's that will be combined, so there is literally nothing I can take. I need an art and a cross cultural, but I'm also not seeing anything that will meet either of those courses either. Statistics is only be offered in Part B, or a full session. I can't do Part B, as I will be on maternity leave. Classes end the day after my C-Section.

I did after taking my 2nd nursing class, then just followed my plan chart throughout the program. I started off by looking to see when all of the nursing classes were offered:

I doubled up on classes. I also wrote out what electives I needed. I had to take 4. During the terms where I saw that I only had to take 1 nursing class, I plugged in "elective" on my chart. Then when I looked at my chart and saw "elective" I looked for whatever elective was offered that I needed.

Doing this really made organizing my life and my classes a million times easier.

Good Luck!!!

Are any of you Diploma grads? Were you told that you would have to take a boat load of extra electives?

I was told that my nursing school wasn't regionally accredited, and that my science credits wouldn't transfer over. They will waive some of my sciences, but I won't have credit for them, and I have to take extra electives to make up the total hours.

The said after I take the first 2 nursing courses and pass with a B, they will give me 90 credit hours for my Diploma. That still leaves 100 hours to take. How many credit hours do the nursing courses give you in semesters?

Cinci…Contact the school. They will provide you with the most accurate info. I'm a diploma nurse, but I have a BS in Biochemistry. So I didn't have to take a lot of elective. Only took 4 (Jun comp, stats, nutrition, and music).

I made a plan before i started with two options, i am hopinig to follow my first option which has me finishing a bit faster.

Anyone have to take Chemistry? Did you take it on-line?

A friend of mine is taking it at Sinclair Community College, but I believe she has to go one day a week. I know Cin. State offers it too.

I sat down with one of those free online printable calendars, the electives and nursing classes I needed to take as well as who offered what and when. I took most of my electives at Cin. State, much cheaper and all on-line. Then I just plugged everything in and followed my plan.

I wrote out what I needed on post its, then shuffled them around on a bigger peice of paper until everything fit into a semester. There were so many options, I have 9 classes left.
