I think this will be a fun thread. And it provides the real truth about how nursing programs are operating. With the stimulus package soon coming into play. I think its important that our future nurses are provided with passionate teachers and up to date equipments in order to enhance learning and the path to their success.

lecture and practical time in sim lab

How was your theory instructor? fundamentals was good, prepared us for med surg

How was your clinical instructor? you have a different one each semester, but so far they all have been great. I do think it is annoying how there is a disparity between the type of grade you get based on the teacher. It is all so subjective and one class will end up doing a whole bunch of extra assignments, struggle, and still perform lower than their peers of another class.

How was your nursing tutor? n/a

How was your mock lab rooms and your nursing resource center? awesome if you are in the trimester program. we have a fake guy who pees, cries, dies, etc. it is geared up just like a hospital room and there are multiple rooms and fake people.

Did you have up to date equipments? yes

How many graduated from your class? no there yet

Did you have any sort of diagnostic exit exam? If so, which one? How was it utilized? What was the passing score? What happens if you are not successful? What sort of preparation was given to you regarding the exit exam. How many students passed it?

ATI. ATI sucks man! Every semester 10ish dont pass but you can retake it. It sucks because they are worth 20% of your lecture grade though.

How many passed NCLEX the first time? we have a high 90's percent

What are you most memorable moments? participating in a code, really making a connection with a family

Which teacher influenced you the most and why? they all do in their own way but my top one is probably C. Deckers. She pushes you so hard and makes you such a good nurse because of it. My peds and ob instructors right now are pretty awesome too!
