Hello,
I did a search but didn't find threads that addressed what I'm wondering about.
I'm an RN with over ten years dialysis experience, most of it as a traveler, but I know nothing about Da Vita.
I have a phone interview for a position as a regional float nurse with Da Vita.
Do the RNs have a pod of their own, in addition to doing assessments, meds, etc. for the others pts?
Are the pay and bennies good, or ?
How does the the company treat employees, and nurses specifically?
Dialysis is always super-busy, but is it doable at DaVita, or are nurses run into the ground?
Any insight you could give would be greatly appreciated!
Anybody?

Hello, I used to work for Davita but in acutes and not the clinic. I can't tell you about working in a clinic or what to expect. But in acutes Davita will work you to death. I'm talking 60-70 hours a week and doing on-call 2 days a week.
You have dialysis experience I would expect that Davita may offer you an hourly pay in the $30's. Davita has a 401k but they do not match your contribution. Health insurance is Cigna. All these insurances are the same.
Davita treats employees like any corporation.....expendable.

I am an RN and former technician. I've been with DaVita since 2006. Im happy with them. Each unit may be run differently depending on manager. Most nurses will have 1 or 2 patients along with their nursing work. I have utilized tuition reimbursement and received two scholarships from DaVita. I am in Pa. I dont think the pay is competitive but its fair.
Well, the manager never called me at our scheduled interview time.
I took another job- not dialysis.

Good luck and congratulations!
Blessing in disguise.
