Personally, I would rather work somewhere that I felt the most comfortable at and enjoyed the most. Because you are going to go there almost everyday, you won't want to be dreading going there. If you really liked the hospital then go with that job, and if you would enjoy working in the OR go with it. Its all personal preference, go with the job/work environment that you know or think you will enjoy the most.
Remember to keep in mind the facility's options for continued education, benefits and mobility. If you take a "comfortable" position, you may become bored quickly and wish that you had challenged yourself. It's up to you!
Also, a larger facility may start you out at a lower wage, but have better options for raises, floating to desirable/interesting positions, and stability.
I am not trying to sway you, but it is food for thought...

Hey guys..have a dilemma here. I am a new nurse deciding between two job offers. One is in the OR at a small rural hospital in a less than desirable location...but I liked the actual job and structured orientation. The other job is in the Pre-Op/PACU unit in a very desirable location...less pay and the orientation was not as structured. So take the job in the better location for less pay or take the job with higher pay and structured orientation but not in the best living area. Any thoughts??
