Hey! First of all, no one is a failure. Nursing is hard and very competitve. You can get in, as long as your work and are willing to invest the time.
I started college in 2000. I dropped out after one semester and worked until last May. I talked to the counselors at San Jac (Chris Evans - the nursing counsleor) and he was very optimistic. If you have bad grades (C's or lower) I suggest retaking the courses. Also, if you are courses are past five years old, you will have to retake them anyways. I am having to do that with my BIOL 2401 (AP I)!
Look at using option A and taking the ACT or SAT. I bought a great book at the Baytown Mall that helped me with my ACT's. The book was awesome! There is a residual ACT in May sometime.
As far as the suspension goes, make an appointment and talk to the nursing board. Start with Edna Robinson. She will be able to help you the most.
One last thing: APPPLY. It is not going to hurt you to apply!!! They will send out a letter if you are not accepted stating why you weren't. That can be a BIG help!!!
Good Luck!!!
