Hello! everyone. I live in denver co. and I was graduated from denver school as an lpn on 2008. MY dream was to be a nurse, I love to help people and make a difference especially in nursing. Anyways I am unable to pass the exam I failed 3x and no chance at this time. I hate to go back to school, is their any other solution or advice you can give me. I spend all my life at school to be a nurse and now it was too hard to give up. Please be honest and give me some advice. Is there any other states that will allowed you to take the nclex board exam unlimited?
Thank you in advance for taking your time

Sorry to hear this. What have you been doing to prepare before each test? There are several review courses and there are even Nclex study guides. How about the school you attended, maybe they have a review course or you could audit some classes. Wishing you luck with next test.
Thx for responding. To prepare for each test I was doing nclex cds and online reviews. The school I graduated don't have review courses for lpns at that time. I have studied so hard, but nothing helps.

From you post you sound like maybe English is your second language. I don't mean to offend you , but is it possible the language barrior was a problem? I knew several phillipino nurses that had a hard time with the nclex because of this . Maybe there is a way to appeal for one more chance if you tell them the situation. You are not alone in failing several times . I don't remember if you said your state. You could call the Bon in your state. Keep us posted. You wil help and encourage others out there in your same situation. I will pray for you .

Get a pre- nclex book(or 2-3 from different companies) , read it cover to cover, think very hard about each question and answer---do this in a public library in a private room so you can get away from family and friends.Take all of the exams in the book and exam why you failed some of them in the book. Do NOT let any distractions in, and if they do get right back at the task. All you need are a few protein and complex carbo snacks (bananas, any fruit you like, string cheese, nuts etc... munch out of your bag when no one is looking & make sure you have water--use the fountain at the library if needed. You might be able to pass your n-clex in under 2 hours using this method. Try it. The n-clex is totally different and actually far easier than nursing school. Just stay focused on the task at hand

Your best bet would be to call the BON in neighboring states...if you live in Denver, you aren't too far from Cheyenne, Wyoming or North Platte, Nebraska...both cities have testing facilities.
Best of luck to you!
