Hi all! I have been working with Medical Express(amn) and am about to except my first assignment. But I keep reading how bad AMN is and that I should not work for them or a kaiser facility? Is it too late to back out if I haven't signed a contract or verbally accepted an offer? If not, how do I back out gracefully without ruining my reputation to start traveling? This is such a hard decision to make! Any help, advice on this situation is greatly appreciated!!

If you haven't signed or agreed to a contract there is no reason you have to take it. All you need to tell them is that you will be unable to take the contract which you had discussed at this time.
Do your research and make sure that the issues others have with this agency/hospital are ones that matter to you. Everyone has different needs and an agency which is not acceptable to one person may work well for another.
Thanks for the advice. I think you're right, I should just try it out. I really like my recruiter and I did accept the contract! So excited :)

Honugrl8,
I am thinking about working with AMN, also, for my first time ever travel nursing! Best of luck, and let us know how it goes!
