Please Help- Ielts/Nclex

Published

After 2 failed attempts of Nclex CA BON denied my application as to the concurrency issue.

I live here in MN so I then applied here but Ielts is my problem now- shamefully took it 4x and still failed-always one part is not able to hit the target marking.

Not What???? any idea where can I get my eligibility without the hassle of ielts.it is getting so costly.kaplan is so nice to give me that courtesy extension as this is my 3x paying for the review.I had check Florida BON but I am hesitant because after 3attemps of failed nclex they will require a refresher course which will be difficult as it require Rn license

I graduated 2006 in the Philippines, got my local license in 2008.

Thank you and I appreciate some inputs.

Kababayan, You need to first and foremost consider what state you want to work and practice the minute you do pass the NCLEX. If it's still in MN, then, even if you get your RN license from out of state, you will still need to meet all of MN's BON requirements in order to successfully endorse your license. So that further means you should concentrate on passing the IELTS since it will still be one of the minimum requirements as a international grad.

As it will absolutely make no sense to spend the extra money on new non-refundable application fees, new examination fees just to get a license from another state and just to avoid the IELTS, because once you submit your endorsement application to MN, guess what they want from you? Your passing IELTS exam results, you will have gone full circle for nothing. A license from any state is no guarantee to be endorsed over as each state has its own particular requirements.

That one part that keeps making you stumble is at least an area that you need to concentrate your hardest and put in over 100% of your best efforts until you can beat it.

You can try TX, but I think they have a 4 year limitation from your graduation time to have gotten licensed in the States somewhere or you may be required to also take a refreshner courses. But TX has unlimited NCLEX testing, but you will need to also take the English proficiency exam. Contact the TX BON for more clarification of your situation.

Thanks kabayan
