Congrats...You must have tremendous experience coming from the Mid-East. I am not so sure about that start pay; it sounds awfully small for someone with your experience...but unfortunately, at the same time you are considered a "new grad" because you just got your license. You are in what we could call, a "catch-22" situation.
I have many friends who have been recently hired in the same situation. They just had to "eat it for now" until they get years under their belt.
There are $7500.00 bonuses at my hospital for experienced RNs in hard to fill spots.
To jopacuron, are you feeling that it is less salary for my experience.are they considering my nclex exam passing date?i thoght they will consider my 3 years experience only.thank you for your reply
I do...
You should check into why. You have a BSN and you have experience...but not in the United States. I do not know what it is like in Texas, but here in Florida they give you some extra because you do have experience..and frankly, the best kind too.
If you are being hired via an agency, however, you may not have much of a choice? Do you have friends who are in that area?
I know for a fact that 4 of our OR nurses left for TX and they are starting at $30-35 an hour..but they are experienced U.S. nurses.
For whatever reason, we are so desperate for OR nurses that you can just about make your demands.../..you can message me if you're interested. You're in a very special position.
to jopacurn thank you for your reply,i have not selected through agency.it was direct .where are you from?i have florida license also.once again thank you.Is it posiible for you to give a good positon and salary.it is a true that i have no experience in USA.but i have assisted and circulated for more than 700 cases within this 3 year.
PM me... =)
