Plea deal with felonies dropped

Nurses Criminal

Well where to start... in 2016 my ex girlfriend accused me of sexually assaulting her and strangling her after I tried to break up with her. I used her phone to try and call the police after she started hitting me as mine was dead. Big no no since it is her property. She is very unstable and this wasn't the first time she had hit me or lashed out in such a manner. I am also not the first guy she's done this to as I've learned. I should've gotten the police involved earlier but I was much very insecure in myself, and as such I kept putting up with the behaviors. There's plenty more to this, but Im not sure if it's important at the moment.

I took a plea deal that that dropped both the 3rd degree sexual assault and strangulation, but added a misdemeanor of intimidation of a witness. This misdemeanor gets dropped in June 2019 as well. So I will have no convictions as of June 2019. I have already applied for my license and have an attorney. This happened in Wisconsin, but I live in illinois.

These are very serious allegations, and I realize they need to be investigated, I am curious as to what more I can do to help get my license. It has been a huge wait. I'm currently working in a nursing home and for an agency, and they obviously hired me knowing full well of my background.

I refuse to give up as nursing is my calling. And regardless of the outcome of my case I urge all of you to act when you experience instability and depression in others. This has greatly affected not just my life, but my entire family as well. Make good decisions, and always have confidence in yourself. It really is everything.
