Hi, I recently applied to Kaplan College-Salida CA for their LVN program. I took KPT test 2 weeks ago today on 10/31. I did good on the KPT test but I wasn't able to have my interview with the nursing big wigs due to them being behind on interviews. Mind you the program starts on Dec. 9!!! So I called and spoke to admission rep last week and she advised it is just backed up and the 30 students haven't been picked yet. Does anyone have any advice about what I should do?? Or if anyone goes to this school tell me what your experience with Kaplan was like...Times winding down and I'm getting antsy....

Hi, I am from the same area you are from. I am currently trying to get into in a lvn program too. Except i am trying to in enroll at Gurnick academy in Modesto, but i have to wait till January since the next program starts in April. I had no idea Kaplan had an lvn program otherwise i would of applied there also. I know how hard it can be to have to wait, but hang in there. Good luck! and hopefully you will get in to the program.

Yes, Kaplan has LVN program they have classes twice a year Aug and Dec. If this falls through for me I may be applying to Gurnick also. I really want to get into Kaplan because they offer 30% tuition discount to military. Good luck at Gurnick!!

Hi Modabi, I got a call today that they are pushing the start date for LVN program back a couple months so if you're interested you still have time to research Kaplan College.

Hello I was wondering how's gurnick? And what's the process like and are their monthly payments require while in school? I'm looking into concord location. I have to take the pre req first then lvn starts in march.

Hi, I am not actually attending school there yet. I am still waiting on enrollment. But there enrollment process has gone very smooth for me so far. The entrance test was very easy. I also spoke to the advisor and everything went well. So now i just have to wait till they start actually enrolling I'm hoping to start in April. Next time I'm going to meet with advisor she will give me more info on the way it works there. So Good luck with everything.

Are you attending concord?

Can you describe the "KPT" test?, is it a basic math and English test? getting into a private lvn program is not hard at all. As long as you have basic math and English, a high school diploma or GED, you can get in.

Hi,

The KPT test was really a joke. It was just basic math reading and writing. After being out of school for 13 yrs I was a lil worried but the information came back just like yesterday.
