Most of your certifications require that you work in that particular field for at least 2 years to become eligible to take the exam. Try this link and you should be able to find a path to certification.
I am a nursing student and a licensed esthetician interested in working in the field of plastic surgery. I found the aspsn website very helpful - and it was awesome to discover how many nurses are interested in the same field. :)
I am an RN and Medical Aesthetician. I took a course for a certificate
in MA years ago with one of the nurse aestheticians who pioneered the field.
If you are interested, pm me and I will send you some info as she still offer
courses.
Best wishes with your career goals.

hello all!
hope everyone is enjoying their holidays ( and time off from school :)). i am going into my third year of my bsn program and am wanting to become a plastic surgery nurse. i have heard that they also become certified-cpsn. the baffling part is how to make this happen. i have searched for schools and some sort of specific training, but still have no answers. does anyone out there is the allnurses world have a clue? any information would be invaluable.
thanks a bunch!
