Is the dx of placenta previa acute, chronic, or both? What determines this?

What an interesting question :) I suppose it's a little of both: chronic in that it lasts for the entire pregnancy, but acute in exacerbations if they happen throughout the pregnancy?

Let me google that for you

Thank you for the links. The reason I posted this was because I had come up short researching on google and theory sources. I am a first year nursing student (male) and mother baby is condensed into an accelerated summer course, so quick, professional, and reliable resources are what I seek out and research initially. I do not agree that someone should do work for you. I do not want to become that type of incompetent nurse. I just need quick information to help me better understand these complicated nursing processes related to maternal and newborn concepts. Thank you for your help.

Do take into consideration that SOMETIMES a placenta will migrate up as the uterus grows. Fairly often I see charts that read placenta previa first trimester, now resolved. Kind of like if you mark on a deflated balloon with a marker the mark will be in a different spot relative to the top/bottom of the deflated balloon than it will be once the balloon gets blown up.

Does that help?

Yes, I hadn't taken that into consideration. I am learning that clinical experience is becoming more and more useful for me. The problem is, I don't have a whole lot lol. Thank you for sharing some of yours.
