Pima Community College Waiting List

U.S.A. Arizona

Does anyone know how long the current wait is to get into he nursing program at Pima Community College (PCC)?

I finally heard from PCC directly, they no longer have a waiting list. They base everything on your GPA from all of the prerequisites, and all prerequisites need to be done within the last 4 years.

Specializes in GENERAL.

I went to (collegescorecard.ed.gov).

This is a school that many people go to to get their academic feet wet. As a result they have a typically low graduation rate. For a Community College this should not be a deal breaker. Again lots of people go there (they have a student body of ~25K) and try out academia. What makes them much better than the for-profits who also have low graduation rates is that this CC charges less than 3K per year while the typical for-profit will clean you out in loans for around 20K per year. This is only one of the reasons to stay clear for profits but the best one I can think of.

By the way hang in there with Pima. Give them a call, talk to an advisor and lay your plans for success. This school is really a great deal. Just be smart and be one of those who graduates and after you are a RN all the profits go to you and not some Wall Street loan glutton.
