Anyone else apply?

When I was at the first orientation they told everyone that was an alternate they would almost for sure be in so go get all the paperwork done. I personally was not one but I have a few people in my clinical group who were!

Wow, it sounds really intense!. My self-calculated points are 76 with straight a's and a decent hesi score. I guess volunteering is always an option. I didnt have that on this application and i work in a restaurant so i got the minimum amount of points there. Thanks for the replies!

I am about to apply for the nursing program for spring 2019 now with a self calculated score of 76. I've already applied twice and I was wondering what is the average score as far as anyone else knows? I have a B in Anatomy and Physiology 202 and that is the main damper to my points, but I have the basic work experience and volunteer work as well as a previous degree. Any advice for me?

Honestly my biggest advice is don't self calculate your scores. I also worked in a restaurant so I didn't get those points. I got A's and B's, I got a fairly good score on my hesi and I also volunteered. You never ever know what could happen so do your personal best and keep going!

I was going to suggest if you don't already work in a hospital to find a part time or PRN job in one. There are Nursing educators you can network with that might be able to write a letter of recommendation and perhaps give you a little boost. You also have to remember the waiting list was still in affect with this semester and I believe it has now worked itself through. That would mean overall the number of spots available will increase going forward. Are you applying for just ADN or are you gunning for CEP?

The current application is just for ADN as the next CEP application doesn't happen until February I believe

To those of you attending, what does your first semester schedule look like?

I'm waiting to see if I got in for spring and trying to work out my childcare and my job.

I also applied for Spring. Anxiously waiting to hear. You haven't heard anything yet?

Nothing at all. They're killing me.

According to earlier posts in this thread, the last cycle (closing date Feb.1) didn't receive notifications until March 8th. So there may be at least 2 weeks more to wait until you hear whether accepted or not. I applied as well, as an LPN, to start in Jan. 2019 (transition class, then join 2nd year class in the fall).

I got my acceptance letter at noon today. Hopefully you hear back soon!

That's great! Hopefully there are a lot of other folks receiving good news as well, over the next few days.
