Pima CC orientation for fall 2010...anyone?

Published

Is there anyone here who attended the Pima CC nursing orientation on the 26 th March. (I'm not sure about the date though) . This was for the students who start in Fall 2010. Would you like to share what they told ? What's it like? Is there an exam ( A & P)before you start? Because I remember when I took A& P they said that we will be tested on A& P again before the program starts.

You all must be very excited to start in less than 4 months.

:):):)

Thank you all in advance and good luck to you all.!!!!!!!

I attended the orientation :) I was terribly nervous going into the orientation with all of the horror stories you hear about nursing school "boot camp". It was actually pretty great! We didn't meet any of the instructors but we did meet assistive personel as well as a board member. The HESI was more of a "what to focus on" type of testing. Depending on your grade you were strongly encouraged to brush up with some summer courses (only a couple days each) in order to reorient yourself with the material. We need A LOT of vaccinations in order to enter the program. Also, fingerprint cards, CPR certification and other things. We went over the uniform policy (hunter green) as well as equipment needed. Thats about it.... :)

Thank you for the reply. So they will tell us at the orientation that we need to take the HESI entrance exam, and we will have enough time to do it before we start the program.( please correct me if I'm wrong). :) have you taken HESI? If so how was it?

Thank you for sharing the info. have a great semester when you start in August. You must be very excited.

Thank you again.
