U.S.A. Washington

Hi guys, I just recently joined this site. Anyways, I'm going to apply to the Pierce college nursing program in Puyallup this year. Signed up to take the kaplan in a couple of weeks. Is anyone else applying there? How did you do on your kaplan? The admissions to the RN program is a long and difficult process,but lets hope it all pays off ?

That’s good. I hope you get in! The waiting is always the hardest.

I got into Bellevue for fall. We had orientation already.

wow! congrats on your acceptance, Fleigh! Best of luck! Bellevue is a great program!

@ wonderwallflower, when do you hear back from those schools? Did you also apply to Pierce?

I just heard back from Highline, I didn't get in ? Now just waiting on Pierce, the waiting game is so scary.

Ish206 am sorry you didn’t get into Highline. The lottery system is hard.

I believe you will get into Pierce. There application was more rigorous and I think everyone here have worked hard on their applications.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Does anyone have an idea of when Pierce would start calling up applicants for acceptance? Soooo much suspense!

@Fleigh congrats!!

@Taylor253 Stania mentioned that we should start receiving calls by July 17th. That’s for the group interview though of selected applicants.

@Taylor253 The waiting seems soo long! less than a month to wait though. How did your application go? I'm also worried and anxious. Guess we should just keep ourselves busy until the time arrives ?

@Ish206 I know!!! My Kaplan was alright came out to about 78%. I did my pre requisites/DTA at TCC. But since the TCC program turned into three years long... decided to try my luck elsewhere. That’s just one more extra year of loans/not working I cannot afford. Will be shooting for the Highline CC deadline of August 20th their Spring quarter.

@Taylor253 78% is good! Wow 3 years is a long time for an ADN program. I totally understand, also TCC is lottery system for their ADN isn't it? Have you applied anywhere else?

TCC is technically 3 years because they added a couple extra pre-reqs but once you are in the program it is still only 2 years. Their application description is very confusing how they wrote it out but I am a student there for my pre-reqs and I confirmed with the advisor because I was upset when I first read it.

@Ish206 I am gonna shoot for HighlineCC lottery too! That one isn’t due till August 20th, so I’m trying to save my 45 cashier fee for it until then ?
