hi everyone! I'm so glad people are starting to comment on my post lol for a moment I thought it would be a dead post. Anyway I did decent on the kaplan, I'm also taking Eng 102 for the extra points. We've got such a long painful wait ahead of us :/ I'm not sure honestly how I did on my functional resume, I used her tips from the application workshop and a friend to proof read for any errors, but I didn't go to a writing or career center to help me with that.
How did you guys do on your functional resumes? The essay wasn't too bad. Ugh so nervous lol
Fingers crossed, I hope we all get in :) We all worked so hard to get this far!
Yeah I am worried about the points. I didnt get the foreign language or inorganic chem. So I'm hoping I can just get to the interview. I just googled the functional resume and tried to piece one together I'm hoping it looks ok. I have had quite an adventure getting to nursing school so I didnt mind the essay it was just all the particulars they want I dont want to be disqualified for some silly reason. Did you guys apply anywhere else?
I think my high school foreign language might count, but I didn't take organic chemistry. Just Intro (chem 121) chem. I only applied to Pierce and Highline so far. How about you? I'm real worried because Highline is a lottery and I didn't get in multiple times. I'm thinking about also applying to bellevue, and green river LPN program.
I applied at TCC this spring and didnt get in so for fall I applied to Pierce TCC and Highline. But Pierce is the only one that doesnt do lottery so I am hoping that helps. If not I got offered the LPN bridge at TCC last quarter so hopefully they will offer me that again and then they will automatically bridge me if I dont get picked. Do you know how many apply at Highline? They didnt really tell me much when I went there to apply.
That's good you have a backup plan. I'm not sure the exact amount of students in lottery program, but my friend who went to the nursing program there told me they get several hundred, and they receive the most applicants for Fall quarter. I'm not sure if that still applies right now though. I imagine pierce gets slightly less applicants since the process involves a lot more work, so it prevents more people from applying.

Hi guys, I just recently joined this site. Anyways, I'm going to apply to the Pierce college nursing program in Puyallup this year. Signed up to take the kaplan in a couple of weeks. Is anyone else applying there? How did you do on your kaplan? The admissions to the RN program is a long and difficult process, but lets hope it all pays off ?
