Hello y'all, I'm currently in nursing school about to finish second semester and in a year will be eligible to take the NCLEX. I have a BS in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and worked as physical therapy aide for two years after graduation. I have been looking into nursing specialties and Ortho caught my eye. My question was how helpful would my background be in this kind of setting if I were to obtain a position after graduation. Thanks.

It would help you tremendously. I have learned so much from our OT/PT people. It is essential that, as a nurse, you understand precautions and body mechanics. Come be an ortho nurse!!!!!!

Awesome! Do you think it would help my chances of getting interviews in an ortho setting?
