Anyone know how this alternate thing works? As far as what order alternate you're in? How they choose? Any info is appreciated.

From what I have heard about 2-4 alternates make it in depending on their ranking. Mainly from those that get accepted into both campuses, resulting in 1 campus slot coming open.

Does it go in the order from ranking after? It looks like I will be an alternate.

I don't recall how many alternates they choose in all. If I remember right it was under 8. Then they go down the list from the highest composite to the lowest. I know that last December several were chosen all the way up to a week before the class started as others decided not to attend or could not pay the tuition. Remember just in case you are not chosen in the next few weeks, you still have great chances when the tuition is due.

That's amazing to know, but isn't there a list of things to do before the final day? Also I wonder if we get the option to choose. I requested both campuses, I wonder if both campuses had the open seat would I get both letters? That's to say if I am not already in.

You def have better chances with both campuses. There is a list but it can be accomplished within days believe it or not, well except for the 2 step PPD. Contrary to what is said from the school they do make exceptions for late entries and medical situations that may arise. You can not start your clinical site until all the background and medical info is completed though.

You also have to think those who choose to apply to both campuses would still potentially get a seat in both so they are holding 1 seat, now imagine there are 6 ppl holding 2 seats 1 at each campus. Now there are 6 people are getting in.

That's great news. I wish they would at least give a list to the alternates so that they can figure out what needs to be done that way if they get the chance to go they have their stuff together. Gah I hate my mail man, I waaaaant to know!!!

We got our hands spanked because we shared the list on our FB group and someone mentioned it to Nancy and the dean. LOL no worries though... It wasn't my first hand smack and I'm sure it won't be my last lol

I will be accepting Porter so there's one more seat open at west campus that I will be declining!!
