I'm a Nursing student in Illinois. I need help if someone know a website about Filipino culture in regards to pregnancy. I spent hours using the google but I couldn't find what I'm looking for. I'm particularly interested in pictures of woman giving birth in old ways such as midwifery("hilot" or "komadrona"). I need it for my powerpoint presentation. Thanks in advance!

Well, if it helps, you could check out Mr. Kumadrona on GMANews website. It's a video of a birth by a male "hilot"/"kumadrona".
Thanks for your response. Sorry it took me a while to answer. They love our presentation.

I thought this website was helpful.
Just a list of traditional prenatal practices.
Enjoy!

Chad, I also use that website. That's how we based our presentation. It's a great site. Actually there's 2 group of Filipino who used it. We have the same topic but only one group was allowed to present it. My group got the chance to do it. It's an amazement knowing how far our culture in pregnancy had gone. Thanks for the input.
haha - Sorry about the user name confusion.
My name is Chelsey. My husband is Chad.
