Pharmacology 5/20

Published

Hi, I'm starting Pharm tomorrow and really want to start strong. Looking for your experiences and tips for grasping this class. I took Patho 2 months ago and LOVED IT. It looks like it is a similar format, am I right?

Who else is taking this with me?

I'm starting pharm tomorrow as well as Patho. Kind of nervous to take these two classes together because it looks like they both require a lot of work. Just hoping for the best! Good luck!

I loved patho, I felt like she treated us like we were going to be nurses instead of silly little kids. The information was really interesting, like another layer of A&P.

Assignment 4 is killing me!! vaccines, antibiotics, anti-TB, anti-virals, some cancer, and some autoimmune drugs all in 1 week. I'm dying here. How am I going to get all this in my brain in one week! Seems like antibiotics and antivirals are plenty in a week. Off to submit my work and crossing my fingers.

I completely agree! I'm thinking not only how am I going to remember all of this for the test, but how am I going to remember this until I get into the nursing program! Lol. Definitely a lot of info to swallow at once.

Trying to psych myself up for exam 2 that opened this morning. It would be best for my schedule to take it today, but I'm nervous and procrastinating. Usually when I get like this I need the deadline to push back to actually take the test. I really need to do well.

I found it helpful to make my own condensed version of the drug template. When I printed out the original one it was way to overwhelming to me! I got on excel and grouped everything together so that it printed out in just three pages and wrote only the most important facts in tiny lettering. It helps me tremendously to see everything in a more simple form. Might try that for the next test!
