Pharmacology over the Summer - Sacramento Stockton Area

Published

Hey Guys,

I recently got accepted into nursing school and really need to take Pharmacology over the summer before the program starts. Sacramento city is offering Pharmacology, but my registration date isn't until May 11 and it looks like it's going to be full. Delta College is not offering it over the summer. Where can I take this course, either online or in person? Please let me know! I know that online Santa Barbara's course is already full. Thank you so much.

First of all congratulations on being accepted to nursing! That's awesome!! Where will you be attending school? I applied to ARC and SCC for Fall but haven't heard yet.

Here's a link to Samuel Merritt's website. It's their approved Pharm classes for their program. Not sure who's offering what this summer, but this should give you a good start. I took mine online thru SBCC last summer so that was my first suggestion, but you already said it's full. It's too bad because it was a good program. Anyway, good luck with finding a course!

Thanks you :) and thanks for the advice! I went ahead and looked over the list and found a school that still has it open.

Does anyone have an opinion on taking Pharmacology before or during the program?

My community college offers Pharmacology but I hear its incredibly easy and you don't learn anything. I thought that was strange considering nurses use pharm a lot, so it made me hesitant to take the class.

Would it be a mistake to take it before entering the program if I didn't learn anything? Is it difficult to take it during the program? Thanks!
