Has anyone received their class schedule for pharmacology in the summer for the traditional program? I am still waiting for mine, and wanted to see if anyone else has gotten theirs or if they're still waiting.

Wow, it's really hard to hear the lectures (on-line pharm)....way too much background noise. I hope the sound quality improves!

Hi everyone! I was reading some posts and I just wanted to let you all know that you should hang onto your pharm syllabus and text book. It will be really helpful in the future. I just started Med/Surg and with all the meds we need to learn, it has been beneficial to me! Congratulations on getting into the program and good luck!

thank you jugre! why do we need to hang onto the syllabus? I plan on keeping my notes, power point lectures and syllabus! haha but I just wondered how it has been useful for you.

Any other advice? my first pharm exam is monday and Im terrified!

I've kept all of my syllabi and power points. The pharm syllabus & textbook is helping me out right now because the med/surg book doesn't get too in depth on some drugs and it's a bit more simplified. Try not to worry about the pharm quiz. I know it's a bit overwhelming but you'll be great! You've worked hard to get into the program and you'll be fine. I remember how I felt so I know exactly how you feel! Good luck!

Are all of the exams in Pharm multiple choice (with the exception of the math test)? I know the instructor mentioned it, but I forgot what she said...

They are multiple choice however, are you studying straight from the powerpoints, or from the learning activities????????

Combination – mostly PowerPoint, supplemented by LA :)

Thanks! and dont forget about the reading in the syllabus on blood brain barrier and nursing responsibilities!!!!! Okay????

For those of you who havent taken your first exam yet, I took mine yesterday. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. try to relax and dont read too much into the questions. I got 100% :) so I'm very happy

Good job! And thanks for the info :)

I am not very familiar with the Highland Lakes campus yet... Is there any place inside the Student Center where I can buy the scantrons we need for the tests? Or do I have to go to the bookstore?

the first test is not easy nor difficult, but it was composed of general memorization of steps and definitions. I got a 100% too I was psyched!!! but you can buy scantrons out the vending machines around the corner from the bookstore in woodland hall building. I believe the next unit maybe more difficult.
