Hi everyone,
I'm starting nursing school in less than 6 weeks. And I've been brushing up on my dimensional analysis and came across a problem and I need help with. I was wondering if anyone out there can lend a hand because I don't really know how to tackle this specific problem. thank you in advance :)
The question is :
The patient is receiving TPN (40% Dextrose 500 mLs with 8.25% FreAmine 500 mLs) at 80 mLs per hour. The patient also receives 500 mLs 10% lipids daily. Approximately how many calories does the patient receive daily from these IV fluids?
- The answer is 2303 calories but I have no idea how they got that answer.
