Hi
Just wondering if there are any community colleges in Texas that offer pharmacology classes online (preferably mini winter term, or fall flex term).
Thanks

Lonestar college system in Houston (and surrounding areas) offers the RN Pharm course online. I'm a 100% sure because I'm registered for it. It is currently closed. But there may be spots that open up. There is a problem with the payment/fin aid system right now so they haven't dropped out classes that have not been paid for yet. Usually you can get whatever you need the day after they do the 'drop'. There may be other locations that also offer it online as well.
The key with Lonestar is that you have to realize that although it is one main college each location that has Nursing also has it's own schedules, rules and classes.
For example: you cannot take the Pharm class unless you have been accepted into the RN program at the Cy-fair location (not even sure if its offered online through CyFair to be honest.). BUT Kingwood location does offer it to the general public as an online option. Each location has very different Nursing information, application dates, etc.
You really have to examine each one to see which has what you need. HOWEVER. If you just need the Pharm class you can just go to the main website and search for an online option...but be SURE that it is 100% online.
I have in the past taken an online class only to find out that I needed to travel quite a distance to test at their home campus rather than it truly being 100% online. MAJOR problem if your no where near the college.
Also ... Cy fair no longer offers a transition LVN to RN bridge program but Tomball does. There used to be a Online QUEST program that I heard was almost 100% online for the RN program but heard it was cancelled due to lack of interest (????? uh no. Maybe they just need to do some better marketing of these programs). I would have jumped on that QUEST option!
Thank you so much for response, I really do appreciate it. I signed up for a pharm class online at El Centro College 100% online (only cost me $249, woot), you are right one has to be sure that it is 100% online.
Thanks again and best wishes
