I am very frustrated, I am having the worst school experience I have ever had. I was so looking forward to nursing school and worked so hard to get here and now I am teatering on the verge. We just had our first two exams, it was not difficult material but we were all over the place in class. My program is very disorganized the teacher is really not with it, she has been thrown to the wolves however, it doesn't excuse, comming in an hour late to class, not having the material to lecture on and not answering phone calls or emails. It's a long story these past few weeks but the jist of it is. We need to know all CNS and Cardio drugs by next thursday for an exam (along with a fundamentals class). She has not lectured on the Cholenergic or anything at all to do with Cardio. We are never told what chapters we need or what we need to study this is because our teacher doesn't know. The most I have gathered thus far is she gets questions from the book test bank so it's good to read and I have the chapters figured out for pharm this time, but teaching my self this is a real struggle in 6 days time, can anyone give me a hand, what are the most important things I am looking for? anything???
I have brocken it down to the 5 Adrenergic prototypes, there are pages of adverse effect, nursing dx (which we haven't even develed into) and other things what are key where do I begin and How do I learn and memorize and understand to get through the test?

In my program the inctructors do not go over the pharm too much neither. However, she do give us the the med to study and basically we are on our own.

Well the class is called Pharmacology so I assume we should get some instruction, I don't mind doing the work but what they are expecting is impossible and scarier still what kind of nurses are the making?
