Hi, couldn't find information about this so I decided to just ask here.
Question: Am I eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam here in Washington right away without having to go back to school?
I graduated in the Philippines for my BSN, batch 2013. Also have my PH RN license. Wasn't able to do all of my scrubs in the same semester that they are relevant in, but have completed them anyways before I have graduated.
I have applied for that exam in California and the board requires me to take up Med/Surg and OB before I am eligible to take the exam.
I'm asking along the lines of concurrency issues that a lot of Filipino graduates like me meet when we apply for that in California. And also, since it's been a long time since I have graduated, so I'm wondering if that will factor in with regards to my eligibility.
(I am currently waiting on my CGFNS papers to be submitted to the WA Board, so I'll be finding out about that maybe in a few months, but I like to know things ahead of time if I can.)
And if the answer is no...
What are my options aside from going back to school?
For example, is there a state where I can apply for NCLEX-RN without those requirements, pass it, and have it endorsed to Washington?
From what I understand, you can't do that in California since they'll still require you to go back to school for whatever requirements they want you to fulfill even if you're already an RN somewhere. So I'm wondering whether that is doable for Washington state.
Thank you so much for your time in reading this, I really appreciate it very much.

yes Wa BON will let you take NCLEX as long as you passed English proficiency exam, you have CGFNS cert or CES and you have HIV/AIDS Education training.
