I'm not in Pennsylvania, I'm in California, and I entered probation which is a public mark on my license but I didn't have to stop working and it's 3 years as opposed to 5 in Diversion...which I believe is the equivalent of PNAP in California, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Here, we're eligible for early termination after satisfying 2 of the 3 years. After we petition the board, my monitor says it can take up to 6 months to receive a decision...so realistically I'd only be getting off a few months early (But I'll take it). Now that's here in California where the BON is notoriously slow (it took them 3 years after my DUI to take action against my license) so hopefully you don't have to wait as long.
On a side note, do you know if Pennsylvania is a state that makes you complete a monitoring program all over again if you've already completed a monitoring program once? I went to school on the East Coast and have always dreamed of living in Philly, was planning on applying for a PA license once I'm off probation, but don't want to go through this all over again.
Well all I can tell you for sure is you are asked questions r/t previous problems with drugs or alcohol when you renew your lisence. Im pretty sure you would be monitored. I have completed my 3 yrs of monitoring in July but then had to petition to be released from my contract so I must continue with drug screens, meetings, etc until then. So anxious to put this behind me

I'm in PNAP in Pennsylvania and one of the nurses in my weekly therapy session moved from another state after completing their program subsequent to a DUI. Pennsylvania made her start anew in PNAP and do the whole program for 3 (+) years
