Petetioning the board for early release

Published

Hi.. I am on a 3 year TX bon ordered monitoring order.. I'm supposed to be released in August but need to move and figured it would help tremendously if my order was complete.. has anyone or does anyone know the process for requesting early release? I was just going to send an email to the enforcement department...thanks!!

i'm in Florida and have been toying with the idea of doing the same thing. My reasoning is based on "substantial compliance." Other than an issue where they lied and cost me a job offer and I had to retain an attorney, there's been no issues. Every stipulation has been adhered to without fail. I'm approaching the 4th year of a 5 year sentence. I don't see what another 2 years of this will accomplish.

I don't even have an addiction issue but i got dumped into a boilerplate, non individualized (i don't care what they claim, i honestly think every one gets the same stipulations) contract. I called the BON to ask about the procedure for getting on the agenda for a board meeting and was told, all i had to do was write an email to them with my request. I figure, they ordered me into this nightmare, they can order me out of it. I'd almost rather go in front of them so that a face can be put to the name/file. My worry is that there are IPN people at those meetings and if the BON were to say no, I would not put it past IPN to pull crap to make the remaining 2 years more miserable than it already has been.

If you are done in August, that is only a month away. I would think that the paperwork to unchain you should already be in progress?

Congrats on getting done. now you can move on with your life and not look back.

I email the board an asked what the process was.. I had to send a request in writing... They are looked at in the order they are received so I guess I thought of this too late bc by the time.e they get to mine it will likely be nearly complete... í ½í¸• Good luck

Good luck girlie, can u give me info what tpapn was like to start? Cost? Eval? How long it took to process your paper work?
