Personal Question, should I wait???

HI everyone.... I havea quick personal question that I am freaking out about. I called my Drs. Office and they don't open until 1045 today, and the answering service said I can either wait and see if the office can take me or I can go to urgent care.

Last night when I got out of the shower when I was drying off... I noticed a 1-1.5 inch round fleshy open hole near the aerola of my left breast. I never noticed it before. Its moist and white. Should I wait to see MY dr, or should I go to urgent care where there is a possibility multiple specialists would be able to look at it. This is my only day off for the next 4 days and I won't want to wait until friday to see someone.

Me as a new nurse, I just know something isn't right. I am not asking for medical advice as to what it is... just what to do wait or go to urgent care... thanks.

Hello,

We cannot answer whether you need emergent or urgent care as opposed to waiting for an appointment. If you "know something is not right", then please go as soon as you can been seen today. That will ease your mind.
