Hi, I hope someone can help. My daughter is in nursing school. She is working on a careplan for a 25 year old admitted for abdominal pain. They did a CT and discovered an 'abdominal cyst'. She went to surgery and found that cyst to be a peritubal cyst with torsion of the right ovary. She is having trouble finding the pathophysiology. She also needs complications and nursing interventions.
Can anyone help????

talk about ovarian torsions. it's a good thing she was already in surgery when they found it......usually they go to emergency surgery when they get the results of the ultrasound.
