Pep talks appreciated!!

Hello all,

I am a second semester sophomore at the University of Central Arkansas and I recently applied to UALR's BSN program. I am currently taking Structure and Function 1 (essentially A&P 1), Med Term, Abnormal Psych, Health Concerns of Aging, Parenting Issues and Family Relations (my blow-off classes). Lately it seems as if I've hit an academic "wall" so to speak; I am EXHAUSTED. It's honestly a little embarrassing to admit that I'm not even admitted into my nursing program yet and I'm already feeling tired (I know what's to come will not compare to what I'm experiencing now)! My grades are good, this past fall was my second consecutive semester on the dean's list, so currently I'm not struggling too much. Anyway, I was hoping to post this thread to elicit a response from seasoned nurses, nursing students, and even my fellow pre-nursing students...I need a pep talk! It's not that I can't do this, it's just that I need that extra push. Personal stories and pep talks are greatly appreciated.

If there is one thing that living has taught me it's that SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO ENCOURAGE YOURSELF! Learn how to pep talk yourself and claim favor over your life. Don't think about how hard it is, think about how strong, intelligent, thoughtful, and competent you are. You can handle this and more so pull you ish up by the boot straps and hit it head on. It's too soon for you to feel overwhelmed and if you let thoughts like that fester in your mind, YOU will be the only thing that stands in the way of your success. So try to relax and enjoy this season of your life. Its gonna get worse, much worse. lol Hope that helps:)
