Penn State Altoona Second Degree Nursing Program 2013

Has anyone else been accepted for Fall 2013 into PSU Altoona's Second Degree Nursing Program? I just recieved my letter of acceptance and am looking to meet more people in the program and hoping to find a possible roommate. I haven't looked into housing yet, but want to make some friends before moving to Altoona. If anyone has more information on this program or knows someone who has been accepted into the program please let me know.

Have either of you recieved your nursing packets yet? I was told we would get them by late march or early april and I have yet to recieve anything. I'm getting a little bit worried....

For some reason I am just now seeing both of your last comments....weird. But I would love to meet up on campus! We could grab lunch at panera or something! I will be out of town the week of the 22nd so anytime before that :) let me know!

I haven't. I'm guessing this might be done at orientation or at least we might get more info there. Have you heard anything about scheduling?

No I haven't. I e-mailed **** to see if we schedule at orientation or online, I will let you know what she says.

Thanks, that would be helpful! I'm also wondering about the preceptorship In the last semester. I guess I'll have to email as well.

So ***** told me to just go ahead and schedule. Do you know if we can still use FASFA for the second degree program? And what do you mean the preceptorship in the last semester, I don't see that.

Hey Nicole, did you receive your packet at your home address or your address here at UP? I don't have mine yet. Also, I filled out the FASFA over spring break again so I believe we can still get financial aid through it. It makes me nervous that we can go ahead and schedule now and I have no idea what's going on haha

I was not a penn state student before so I don't have a login or know how to go about scheduling. I guess I will call. The preceptorship is the clinical class in the last semester that lets us basically work alongside a current rn for experience.

I tried to scheule class and I recieved an error message telling me to check the registration timetable. However, I should be allowed to schedule because I have over 120 credits which should have let me schedule by early March. I have no idea what is going on lol I might just wait until orientation to schedule. Emily were you able to schedule classes?
