I received notice that I will be going before peer review. Should I get a lawyer. Should the lawyer attend the review with me?

Do you know what the purpose of the peer review is? To me, that sounds like something that might be part of your annual evaluation (shouldn't be something where you'd need a lawyer) and not, like, a jury of your peers to decide whether you violated the nurse practice act (you'd need a lawyer for that but I don't think that's how that process works).
My hospital has a voluntary peer-review process where we can offer suggestions to the person about career development. It's not something I've chosen to participate in. Do you have someone you can ask for more details?
