Hello
New to forum so please bear with me. Dear husband and i are contemplating relocating to southern California and I would like to try travel nursing there until we find a location to put down roots. I'm a 1995 grad BSN with the last 12 years in a level 1 pediatric ER, have PALS, BLS and ACLS. My question I see lots of travel nursing posts for er or straight peds but for someone like me with Peds ER experience is there a demand? Can be flexible but if at all possible would like to work in a peds er

An ER friend of mine just finished an assignment in a peds hospital in the Fresno area. He said it is semi-seasonal (perhaps you would know that well) and he was one of the last travelers this late. A lot of large hospitals have peds streams. Of course, if you are comfortable with adults, most any ER would love to have you as a peds resource.
thanks nedrn
I did work adults 12 years ago and in anticipation of traveling i just got my ACLS What does peds streams mean? adult er with a peds area? Any advice to make me more marketable would be appreciated From what i hear subspecialties are whats in demand
An adult intake and a peds intake staffed appropriately. I think you are marketable enough for a small ER or a peds ER assignment. Go!
