Hi! I am right now doing pre-reqs for nursing. I always wanted to be a nurse. I decided i wanted to become a pediatric oncology nurse after i volunteered at a camp for children with cancer. I wanted to know who is a pediatric oncology nurse? Do You like it? What hospital do you work in? Is it hard? Have you worked in any other area in nursing and why did you switch? Is it very stressful? Is it very hard to find a job in this area. If you dont mind answering these questions i would really appreciate it. Thank You!

One of my classmates jumped into that area of work. She was a med/surg nurse at her hospital until the position popped up and she jumped on it. I know she loves it, and she's only been on the floor a couple months. I'm not sure how hard it is to get into that position, but I imagine like other nursing jobs, if you want it the opportunity will arise in some way or form:) Your volunteer experience would be an asset:)
