Hello! I just graduated with my BSN and I am currently on the search for a new grad position in a pediatric unit in NYC. I currently have an interview from Morgan Stanley and Cohen's. I also have a phone interview from NYU's general nurse residency. Is there anyone else out there who is looking into a peds position as a new grad? What steps are you up to in the hiring process and what hospitals are you applying to?

hey! I'm graduating in May so I'm currently applying/interviewing to places too (for NICU though). I actually wanted to apply to Morgan Stanley but I can't find the application or anything about their residency program online! Can you tell me where you found it? Thank you!!
I applied to anything that was posted on NYP's website that said it did not require experience. I started applying in November and had my first interview last week. I was hired into Morgan Stanley's Nurse Residency Program with a start date of March 9th. I still have not taken the NCLEX yet. I don't think that NYP actually posts anything about their residency but if you are a new graduate you will automatically start the residency. From what I understand it is just classes for a year and you get a mentor to help you with your progression.

Did you begin applying before you graduated? Did you have to wait until you graduated/passed the NCLEX to interview?
Thanks!
