Pearsonvue trick pop-up

Published

Hiiiii! I am just wishing that some fellow nurses here would be able to see my message today. I took the nclex-rn exam for California Board of Nursing just last friday August 1st, 2014 and did the pearsonvue trick hours after the exam and gave me the pop up "This candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be completed at this time".

Anyone here with a similiar experience like I have? I'm just curious what comes next after that message. I checked the board of nursing website, nursys.com, still I did not see my name in those websites. Maybe the pearsonvue trick does not work like it used to be in determining whether the test taker passed the exam or not?

Anyone with the same experience, please share your story. Thank you!

If you're still getting that popup (the good one by the way) you've passed. You might have to wait a few more days, but I'd be quite surprised if your name doesn't suddenly show up on BreEZe... within a few more days.

ETA: I read the sentence too fast...

That sentence means that your results are indeed on hold. What it means is simply that there's some kind of irregularity that they have to resolve before they can release the results. When that happens, you'll either get the good popup which does have "A new registration cannot be completed at this time" wording on it... along with "recently scheduled this exam..." or it'll send you to the credit card page where upon you'll be able to enter credit card payment info (don't do this until much later).

It is not indicative of pass or fail. It means your results are on hold. There was some issue that triggered your test for a QA/QC audit. Sometimes it's palm scan problems. Other times it's testing quickly. Most holds are released in 48-72 business hours (not counting weekends).

The PVT won't work until the hold is released. The results will not be released to the BoN until the hold is removed. You can search allnurses for NCLEX results on hold to read the experience of others

Results on hold is NOT the good pop up nor is it the "bad"/fail pop up. It just means what it says results on hold

Yeah, I just read the OP's post a little too quickly and ended up misreading it.

Thank you all for the explanation, I appreciate it! And thank you also for the incoming ones. I will let you all know whatever the result may be.

Follow-up post for the "on hold" pop up I've been getting since last Friday - Aug.1st until 5:41 p.m of Aug.5, 2014. The "on-hold" pop up does not always guarantee a passing result. This "on hold" thing in my case has been lifted just this afternoon and I've been redirected to the credit card payment information which means FAILED. I feel crushed after seeing that but I am not going to give up. I'm looking forward to my 3rd take of this unbeatable exam in this nursing world. To those who passed the nclex-rn exam, congratulations and may God bless you all in your chosen field!
