I am looking to purchace a PDA. What does everyone here use (if you have one of course)? What do you like/dislike about it? Also, What software do you have installed and which ones do you use the most?

TIA,

anba

There are alot of earlier PDA threads, so if you don't get the replies you're hoping for just go use the search function.

I don't have a PDA yet, but would LOVE to get one.

I've been looking at the Tungsten E, Zire 71, and Clie SJ33 so far.

I had a handspring and it caused me nothing but problems, I tell everyone to stay away from them.:(

Haven't replaced it yet so.....

I own a Palm Zire 71 this is my 3rd Palm model. I couldn't live with out it. It has a great bulit in digital camera and MP3 Player. I love Documents to go (a word program to type all my notes in class. ) That came free with my palm. Heres a few websites that have helped me teach myself all I've needed to know..

I just ordered a brand new zire on ebay. I cant wait to get it. I found some palm downloads at Cnet.com? Now I can make animated cartoons during my medpass ( sarcasm there!), even some med dose programs, or on a bad night I can use an omen predictor test to see if my nose is itching means I have mandatory overtime coming or if it means the new homeles pt. has scabies. Seriously there is an omen predictor test along with many other neat free downloads

I bought a Palm m130 on Ebay for $130 and love it. I found a GREAT drug software program for FREE. Turns out it's the same one my pharmacology instructor who is also an NP uses. I have used it a LOT and I haven't even begun clinicals yet. I have a lot of other programs on there as well to help with nursing, such as an assessment program and I am also able to keep track of my Body for Life workouts on my Palm. I have a program to keep track of all my schoolwork called Due Yesterday. I now can't believe I lived so long without that thing!

I have a Compaq Ipac 3835 (pocket pc) and I have Stedmans Medical Dictionary, Davis Drug Guide for Nurse's, Lippincott Manual of Nursing Practice, Davis Diseases and Davis Lab Values and a program with medical abbreviations on it. LOVE IT! WHen I was in school I had wireless internet abilities but was because the school had it. We had to get one for school and I love it.

I use the program Due Yesterday, and I love it. Palms aren't that popular at our community college so when I'm using the keyboard with it to type my notes I still get alot of looks and questions. I'm noticing alot of laptops being used by students at my school lately. Why lug that thing when you can just bring your palm and a portable palm keyboard? People just don't know alot about palms and their capibilitys yet.

I have a Dell Axim, I love it although I think it could be a little bit more slender to fit in my pocket more easily. I have ePocrates, Davis Drug Guide for Nurses, RN Labs, RN Diseases, Stedman's dictionary, and Archimedes. You can get software from http://www.skyscape.com.
