Pct if I failed nursing school?

I had a question. I live in Illinois. I recieved my CNA certification back in 2009 and it's inactive now. I just finished my first semester of nursing school but I failed the theory part by 2 points. So I got kicked out and now reapplying.

My question is, if I failed nursing school but did pass the clinical portion, but it's not my transcripts, can I still get a job as a PCT? I recently received a job offer at a hospital for PCT but it says if u completed a nursing clinical rotation or if you received training at an accredited CNA program (which was years ago).

Because it's been years my school recommended I take the CNA class again, so I'm enrolled this fall. Would I still be able to work as pct even if I'm stl completing the CNA program?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I'm just lost. I can't find anything helpful online.

Do you have a grade for the clinical portion? Or are you saying it was a pass/fail but you failed on the classroom grade. BTW please use this time to connect with your 'study skills' department and other resources. You have a lot to offer nursing but you need to up your game.

Usually the first semester of nursing school covers the CNA skills. Ask your your employer give you a check off list on the basic skills.
