Paying for nursing school

Published

Hi everyone,

I finally picked up an application for the BSN program at the University of Memphis and took a look at the numbers and I just can not afford it nono.gif. Unfortunately, I used my financial aid on undergrad(B.A. in Sociology and Women's Studies). By chance, does anyone know of any hospitals in the Memphis area that provide that will pay a student's tution, or some of it, in exchange for an employment contract? I am actively looking for another job but haven't had any luck so far.

Baptist does. I plan on applying to Union's accelerated BSN program and my friends who have done their program said that Baptist came in the first week of classes and offered to pay tuition in exchange for one year of employment. If I go to Union, I plan on going that route.

Thanks so much for your reply. May I ask if you know how one gets started in doing this? Do I need to apply for a job at Baptist, any type of job as long as I get hired, and then apply to nursing school? How does it work?
