Pay for per diem HHC?

It really varies. Most per diems are paid by visit. In NJ, Revisit is anywhere from $30 to $80 on a weekend and new admit from $65 to $100 on the weekend or in summer during vacation season. I know pay is significantly lower in Georgia and Florida, but Texas? I haven't a clue. Depends on the agency and where you live. Maybe sometone from Texas can answer. Try the Texas state forum in allnurses, maybe someone there can be more specific if you don't get what you are looking for here, or maybe someone there can ask a nurse they know.

Thanks for the reply. I will ask on the Texas forum, too. I mentioned my idea to other staff nurses at work, and heard all the roach horror stories! Undaunted, I'm still collecting info.

Our company in Houston pays $60 for an admit and $38 for a visit, I'm not sure how recerts or post hosps are counted...somewhere in between those figures I imagine. I'm paid salary, but don't know if that is an exception or a rule!
