I live on OH/PA border. I believe that OH pays considerably more than PA. If anyone works in northeastern Ohio, what is your pay rate? I am considering of getting my OH license again. I have PA one, and all CEs required for an OH LPN. All the PA jobs that I appplied to pay so much less than when I left job in OH in 2004.

this doesn't really help you a ton but i am in the opposite corner of ohio in southwestern ohio. lpns in my area are really well paid. the lowest i have heard was $14.77/hour plus a erally nice benefit package all the way to $24/hour. that was new grad pay. you could always try salary.com and see if they can give you a better idea. i bet the pay is even higher in that part of ohio. just wanted to throw my in. good luck!
Thanks Price. I just applied for renewal of my Oh license. I put it on inactive status when it was up for renewal in 06. (have been on disability for 4 yrs.) Initially, I applied for re-activation of my PA license. I have been seeking a job in area where I live in PA. But, I have come to the conclusion that OH just pays more. Four years ago, I made $16 an hr, in a psych facility in OH. Now, jobs I am looking at in PA are in the $12-13 hr. range in LTC. Hospital was $12.88 hr. In drs. office it is $10 hr. And, the highest paying one I interviewed for was a prison job that paid $16 hr. But, other than that the jobs in my area of PA are paying lower than other areas. So, I think I am going to cross the line back to OH.

I Work N Ne Ohio. The General Pay Rate Here In Ltc Is Between $18 And $23 (newgrad) Depending In Shift. Many Facilitites Offer A Weekend Program Where U Would Work 12hours On Sat And Sun And Get Paid An Extra 8 Giving You Full Time Pay For Part Time Hours. Hospitals Are Considerably Less But The Least I've Seen Was $16 Once Again Depending On Shift. Agency Is The Best Ofcourse, With Pay Anywhere Between $22 And $30. Whats The Pay Looking Like There?
